Berhampur: Three police officials including the Inspector In-charge (IIC) of Digapahandi police station were injured during an exchange of fire with a dreaded criminal on Changudei hills in Ganjam district today.

However, the police managed to nab the criminal identified as Jai Pradhan during the encounter. The cops also seized a pistol, bullet shells, bombs and a bike from his possession.

Meanwhile, Pradhan, who sustained bullet injuries in his left leg during the encounter, was later admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
