Driver charred to death as oil tanker catches fire in accident in Odisha

While fire services rushed to the spot to douse the flame and rescue the charred body, sources said the driver of the container truck is still missing. 

Baripada: In a tragic incident, driver of an oil tanker was charred to death after the vehicle caught fire following a collision with a container truck at Bangiriposi ghat in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district here today.

While fire services rushed to the spot to douse the flame and rescue the charred body, sources said the driver of the container truck is still missing.

As per reports, both the trucks were heading from Keonjhar towards Baripada when the drivers lost balance at Bangiriposi ghat. Both the vehicles overturned and fell into a 20-feet gorge. While the tanker caught fire, the other truck too was soon engulfed in the flames.
