Dry weather very likely to continue over Odisha districts during next three days

Bhubaneswar: With the southwest monsoon being subdued, dry weather is very likely to continue over the districts of Odisha from October 9 onwards, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “The cyclonic circulation over north Coastal Andhra Pradesh and neighbourhood between 3.1 km & 4.5 km above mean sea level persists. A north-south trough runs from Sikkim to north coastal Odisha across central parts of Bangladesh and extends upto 3.1 km above mean sea level. The cyclonic circulation over central parts of Bangladesh and neighbourhood extending upto 3.1 km above mean sea level has become less marked.”

The highest maximum temperature of 36.3oC was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 21.6oC was recorded at Angul in the plains of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

For Monday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 09.10.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 10.10.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
