Bhubaneswar: With the Low Pressure Area over central parts of Bangladesh & neighbourhood becoming less marked, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha after next 48 hours, India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted today.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD mentioned, “The line of withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon continues to pass through 28.6°N/80.6°E, Lucknow, Satna, Nagpur, Parbhani, Pune, Alibagh and 18.9°N/70.0°E. Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from remaining parts of East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh; some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana; and some more parts of Maharashtra and Central Arabian Sea during next 2 days.”

Southwest monsoon has been subdued in Odisha. The highest maximum (day) temperature of 36.1oC was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 19.6oC was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Koraput and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
