Duplicate soft drinks manufacturing unit busted in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Special Squad of the Twin City Commissionerate Police and Food Safety Department officials today busted a duplicate soft drinks manufacturing unit in Mancheswar Industrial Estate area of Odisha capital.

As per reports, spurious soft drink was produced at the unit while the same was bottled with logo and label similar to that of various brands like Sprite, Thums Up, Spice Up etc.

The manufacturing unit lacked license and other related documents, an official said, adding that it was operating without any testing lab.

Food Safety officials have collected samples of the soft drinks to ascertain details about the adulteration.
