Durga Puja bonanza! Odisha Govt hikes DA by 3% for employees, pensioners

Bhubaneswar: Good news ahead of Dussehra celebrations as Odisha Government today hiked the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3 percent for its employees and pensioners.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved the proposal for increasing DA from 31% to 34% effective from January 1, 2022.

The increased amount will be provided to employees and pensioners in their salary for the month of September. The arrears of DA for the months from January to August will be disbursed by the authorities separately, a CMO release stated today.

With the DA hike, around 4 lakh employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners of Odisha Government will be benefited.
