With an aim to focus on passengers and rail users, Indian Railways is going to observe a fortnight long programme “Railway Passengers & Customers Facilitation Fortnight-Rail Yatri/Upbhokta Pakhwada” from May 26 to June 9.
In view of the above, East Coast Railway (ECoR) will take feedback from the passengers, customers, general public and media across its jurisdiction on passengers amenities having direct interaction by the Railway officials.
Top Railway officials will travel with the commuters to improve the services of the biggest public enterprise of the nation and also interact with the passengers to seek their feedback as well as suggestions on the services being provided to the passengers like food, water, cleanliness at the railway stations as well as in the trains with a motive to improve the services and amenities for the passengers.
Extensive ticket checking campaign will also be launched during the fortnight. Apart from this, safety awareness drives, monitoring of punctuality, cleanliness & sanitation drives at all the stations will be organised.
ECoR has also planned to organise discussions/seminars on constructive themes pertaining to Railways, awareness drives on safety at level crossings, foot board travelling, drugging/intoxication in trains and cleanliness, an ECoR release said today.
