Bhubaneswar: “Education is the key to transformation” said Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during his visit to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) here today.

On this occasion, he inaugurated newly-built library cum learning center sponsored by Tata Steel and the new campus of KISS University.

Odisha’s KISS becomes India’s first varsity for tribals

Addressing 25000 students of KISS Patnaik said, KISS is the leading tribal institute in the world. He congratulated staff, faculties and management of KISS for getting university status. KISS is pride of Odisha, it will bring more recognition to the state after getting university status. He urged the students to take initiative to give proper education to those children are still deprived of education in their locality. “Students, you try to change your family as well as your locality and community,” he advised the students.

On the other hand Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister for visiting KISS for the first time after it being declared an university.
