Bhubaneswar, Feb 20:

Ekamra Kshetra is gearing up for celebrating the auspicious Mahashivratri with devotional fervor in Odisha capital.

In view of possible influx of devotees to Lord Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar on Mahashivratri, also known as Jagar that falls on February 24 this year, the administration will focus on the security and traffic arrangements.

The decoration of the temple is being given the final touch just three days ahead of the holy celebration.

The arrangement has been completed for making barricades inside and outside the century-old temple.

Besides, the emphasis has been given on temple schedule, rituals, sanitation, light, traffic and law and order for the festival.

The administration has decided to install CCTV inside and outside the shrine for monitoring the movements of crowd. In view of the trouble created by cows and bulls in temple area, the arrangement has been made to place them far away from the location for convenience of people.

The barricade will be made from Singha Dwar (main entrance) of the temple to Aruna Stambha (Sun Pillar) to control the crowd.

On the other hand, the RTO has been asked to ply the city buses and town buses to the temple area on and day after Jagar. The vehicles will be parked at the premises of BM High School, Subhadra Mahatab High School and Gosagar UP School.
