Elderly man axed to death by son in Odisha

Nuapada: A youth killed his father allegedly over family feud at Kendupati village under Khariar police limits here in the district late on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Nakul Banchhor (70). His son Purna Banchhor (30) absconded from the spot after committing the crime.

According to reports, the father-son duo was getting into heated arguments most of the time over some reasons at home. The violent Purna attacked his father with an axe at around 3.00 am. After the elderly man died on the spot, the accused fled from the spot.

On receiving information, the Khariar police seized the body and initiated probe to nab the accused.
