Electrocution: Man burnt alive atop 11 KV electric pole in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Baripada: A man was burnt alive atop an 11 KV electric pole at Singada village under Raruan police limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district today after he came in contact with the live electric wire.

The deceased was identified as Narahari Mahanta (27) of the village.

As per reports, he climbed atop the pole and touched the high-tension wire. He was immediately burnt to death while his head and rest of the body got separated.

Police have started investigation into the matter. The reason behind his extreme step was yet to be ascertained.
