Eminent writer Sarada Prasad Mishra passes away in Odisha capital

Noted writer Sarada Prasad Mishra breathed his last this morning at a city-based hospital in Odisha capital. He was 53.

According to family sources, Mishra complained of chest pain following which he was rushed to a hospital where he breathed his last. He was battling with cancer since last few years.

He was working as public relations officer (PRO) to Governor and a winner of several coveted awards for his literary works.

Mishra is a recipient of Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award for short story in 2011.

Besides, Mishra has authored several books in Odia and English such as ‘Apahancha Ilakara Adhiswara’, ‘Golapi Smrutira Kabita’, ‘Ratira Ajab Drushya’, ‘My Word Book’, ‘English Tenses With A New Taste’ and ‘Dynamic Essays & Letters’ among others.
