Employee steals 1.5 kg Gold from SBI in Odisha’s Koraput

Koraput: An employee of State Bank of India’s Laxmipur branch in Odisha’s Koraput district allegedly stole gold weighing around 1.6 kg from the bank.

The branch manager has lodged a complaint in this regard with the Laxmipur police against accused Sekhar Kuldeep, a contractual employee of the bank.

He came under the suspicion of his colleagues as he was not coming to the office for the last 1.5 month.

Cops have started an investigation into the incident by examining the CCTV footage of the bank.

Though the police and bank authorities didn’t divulge details about the matter, Laxmipur SDPO Ashwini Kumar Nayak said complete information regarding the offence will be shared after a thorough probe.
