(Watch video): Engine of Odisha-bound Visakhapatnam-Bhawanipatna passenger train derails

Bhubaneswar: Engine trolley of the Odisha-bound 08504 Visakhapatnam-Bhawanipatna passenger train got derailed tonight while starting at Kottavalasa railway station after its scheduled stoppage there. However, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident, an official source said.

Another locomotive will be attached shortly with the train to take it to its destination. The train will depart for its destination soon.

According to the source, the loco got derailed while entering into route No-2 from the Kottavalasa station, where it had halted. The first coach was a Second Class-cum-Luggage coach (SLR) and a buffer of the coach got entangled. A diesel locomotive from the rear portion which was available at the station has been provided and the rear portion of the train is getting cleared to reach its destination.

Only the locomotive got derailed and other services are normal.
