Engineering student among 2 held with huge cache of ganja in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: After easing of lockdown norms, unscrupulous traders seem to have started their operation at various places in the state.

Busting a ganja smuggling racket in the state capital, the Commissionerate Police today seized the contraband item worth Rs 4 lakh and arrested two persons, including an engineering student, in this connection.

Sources said after purchasing ganja from Bhadrak district,  the two arrested were running the illegal trade in Bhubaneswar. Acting on a tip-off, the Khandagiri police conducted a raid on the rented house the duo was staying in today and arrested them.

Meanwhile,  a pangolin was rescued from Mahulia village in Badamba under Athagarh Forest Division today. Besides, two persons were arrested in this connection.
