Entry to Puri Jagannath Temple without COVID vaccination certificate from today

Puri: Devotees will not be required to produce COVID vaccination certificate/ negative test report for entering the Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri, from today.

Earlier, those who had received two doses of COVID vaccine or tested negative for the virus were allowed to enter the temple on production of the certificate.

Darshan of the deities will be allowed from 6 am to 9 pm on all days, except Sunday when the temple will remain closed for public for sanitisation in view of the COVID-19 situation.

COVID-19 protocols will be imposed on the temple premises as devotees are required to wear mask and adhere to social distancing at all times while being present inside the temple.

A priority queue has been made operational for senior citizen devotees. Arrangements for drinking water will be made for the devotees when they wait in the queue.

The above guidelines will be reviewed periodically by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and revised instructions will be issued from time to time, keeping in view the evolving situation.
