Bhubaneswar: Evaluation of answer sheets of the annual +2 examination conducted by the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) began today at 56 centres across the state.
Out of the 56 centres, e-evaluation of answer sheets is being carried out at 29 centres. Around 7,000 teachers have been roped in for the evaluation process.
While the answer sheets will be evaluated in the first phase from April 4 to 14, the second phase will start on April 16 and conclude on April 26.
The CHSE has issued guidelines asking evaluators not to carry mobile phones inside the centres.
On the other hand, members of All Odisha School College Teachers’ and Employees’ United Forum have decided to boycott the evaluation process over non-fulfilment of their demands. They resorted to picketing in front of various evaluation centrs today trying to prevent other teachers from entering the centres.
The agitating teachers are protesting delay on the part of the state government to issue a notification regarding withdrawal of a compulsory affidavit clause to avail grant-in-aid.
