Evening weather forecast: Thunderstorm, rainfall likely in 17 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre issued thunderstorm, lightning and rainfall alert for as many as 17 districts in Odisha by evening.

Light to moderate thunderstorm, lightning and moderate rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Sambalpur and Deogarh, said the Bhubaneswar MeT in a release.

The similar condition is likely to prevail in the north and interior regions of the state particularly in Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sonepur, Boudh, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Koraput districts between 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm, the release stated.

The moderate rainfall was in the forecast for the interior parts of the state by afternoon.
