Every panchayat to get laptop in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to make all the operations computerized in villages, Odisha government has decided to provide laptop to every panchayat in the state, informed Panchayatiraj Minister Pradeep Maharathy to the House.

Replying to a written question asked by MLA Priyadarshi Mishra in Odisha Assembly on Tuesday, the minister said that the Panchayatiraj department has invited tenders for purchasing the laptops.

The government is taking initiatives to make every panchayat computerised for application of technologies so that common people can get benefits from the welfare programmes, Maharathy said.
