Nayagarh: A woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her paramour and buried the body at her house. The shocking incident took place at Komanda village under Odagaon police limits in Odisha's Nayagarh district.

Police exhumed the body from the house on Thursday night, around 20 days after the deceased went missing.

As per reports, Prakash Samal (37) of Rohibanka village had married Jyotsnarani Nayak (32) of Komanda village, 14 years ago. The couple has a 7-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son.

However, Jyotsnarani was allegedly having an extramarital affair with one Sonu Behera of Makarapada.

Several days ago, the woman hatched a plan with her paramour to eliminate her husband. Jyotsnarani's mother Damuni was also involved in the murder.

As per their plan, Jyotsnarani and Sonu killed Prakash and buried the body at her house after digging a pit.

Suspecting foul play over Prakash's disappearance, his father Gokula Samal lodged a complaint in this regard with the Odagaon police. During investigation, the cops questioned Jyotsnarani and his mother, during which they reportedly confessed to the crime.

Police also managed to nab Sonu near Machipada while he was trying to escape.
