Bhubaneswar: A tweet by the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Odisha regarding the 'impending' Cyclone 'Sitrang' has created flutter among people. However, the tweet contains a dummy message which is a part of Table Top Exercise on cyclone and flood.
The exercise was conducted in all the 30 districts and 314 blocks of the state to discuss the roles and responsibilities among the stakeholders.
The dummy message, which mentions that 'Sitrang' is likely to cross north Odisha close to Dhamra today as a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm with a maximum wind speed of 155 kmph, had left the netizens confused and panic-stricken.
Several Twitter users sought clarification over the post as it lacks proper caption.

Factually, there is no presence of any cyclonic storm over the Bay of Bengal currently. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) hasn't issued any forecast or warning regarding such system.
