Fake currency notes printing unit busted in Odisha, 3 held

Sundargarh: Police last evening busted a fake currency notes printing unit operating at Kendudihi village under Hemagiri police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district and arrested three persons in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off about the printing unit running at a mobile phone shop, a police team raided the spot and seized 3 counterfeit currency notes of Rs 500 each, a computer and a printer.

The arrested have been identified as Sadananda Khamari (25), owner of the shop, Baruna Khamari (19) and Prakash Khamari (33).

The fake notes were being prepared by the accused after buying paper, ink and printer from Chhattisgarh, sources said.
