Fake currency notes worth Rs 2.5 lakh seized in Odisha; 2 held  

Paralakhemundi: Busting a major fake currency note racket, police detained two persons and seized huge cache of counterfeit notes worth Rs 2.5 lakh from their possession in Siddarth Nagar here today.

Acting on a tip-off about printing and circulation of fake notes, the police raided a house in Siddarth Nagar and nabbed two youths and seized fake notes of various denominations from the spot. The cops are interrogating the two accused to get more leads about the racket.

An associate of the accused duo has absconded from the State and search is on to nab him, said police.
