Fake job racket busted in Odisha; Sundargarh MCH staff among 4 held

Sundargarh: Police arrested four persons including an employee of Sundargarh Medical College & Hospital in connection with a fake job racket.

The accused persons were identified as Chaitanya Tanti, the Sundargarh MCH staff from Kalobahal, broker Sushant Majhi from Tasaladihi, Madan Gardia from Mahulpali and Asish Nayak from Sundargarh.

The four persons were accused of duping aspirants of lakhs of money on pretext of providing them jobs in the state-run medical college.

Sundargarh Town Police seized several materials including computer, printer and fake documents from a shop owned by accused Asish Nayak at Mission Road.

The police nabbed the accused persons following an allegation of cheating for appointing the job seekers in various posts in Sundargarh Government Medical College & Hospital. The accused persons were allegedly receiving lakhs of money from the unemployed youth by giving them fake appointment letters, joining orders that were bearing the logo of the Medical College with fake seal and signature of the dean of the institution.

Sources said that many others are involved in the fake job racket.
