Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, May 26:

The agitating students of Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) under Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University in Odisha capital, who had staged an indefinite hunger strike since yesterday protesting the alleged fake recruitment by the varsity, called off the stir this morning after getting assurance from the university vice chancellor Prof Amit Banerjee.

The vice chancellor assured the duped students to provide each of them Rs 20,000 monthly stipend for a year and fresh job within three months, reports said.

As many as 50 students of the college have alleged that they got fake job letters for recruitment in many leading companies during the campus placement drive.
