Bhubaneswar: As a severe cyclone is wrecking havoc on coastal Odisha, there is no negotiating with nature’s timing.

A baby girl was born today at the Railway Hospital in Mancheswar, here at 11:03 am today while the Smart City is reeling under the impact of the storm.

The mother is a helper at the Mancheswar Railway Repair Workshop and this baby is her first child. The mother-daughter duo are doing fine, according to sources.

While deaths have been reported in the state due to this natural disaster, it has also brought good news to for a family.

The landfall process of the storm started at 8 am. Part of eye of the cyclonic storm was over land at 8.30 am. Entire process of eye entering into land will be completed in the next 2 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said.
