Farmer commits suicide over crop loss in Odisha

Kandhamal: A farmer today committed suicide allegedly over crop loss due to flood here in the district.

The deceased was identified as Govardhan Mallick of Kilupada village under Nuagaon block.

According to reports, Mallick took extreme step by consuming pesticide to end his life. He died while undergoing treatment at the Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH) in Baliguda.

His family alleged that he ended his life due to crop loss following flood.
