Farmer shot dead, cash looted in Odisha's Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal:  A  farmer was shot dead while two others narrowly escaped after unidentified miscreants opened fire at them before looting Rs 30,000 cash from them in Bhuban area of Dhenkanal district late last night.

The deceased has been as Gobinda Behera of Kuninda village under Bhuban block.

Reportedly, the three farmers had gone to Guhiasal village in Jajpur district to purchase a buffalo late last night. Midway, some miscreants waylaid them and opened fire. While Gobinda died in the firing, two other managed to escape.

However, no arrest was made in this connection till the last report was filed.
