Farmers’ registration deadline extended for kharif paddy procurement in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today extended the deadline for registration of farmers for procurement of kharif crops.

The deadline for registration of farmers is extended till September 17.

“Though the last day for the registration was today, the State government has extended it for next seven days. Departments have been informed about the extension of date and asked to complete the process as early as possible.” informed Odisha Food Supplies Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain.

Farmers can go to PACS, SHG or Pani Panchayat to complete their registration. Around 10 lakh farmers have registered till date.

However, the procurement process will begin from November 1.
