Fashion & Lifestyle Mela in Bhubaneswar: Dia Mirza joins as guest on Day 3

Bhubaneswar: The Fashion & Lifestyle Mela being held at the Paltronics Ground in Patia here has become a crowd-puller during the last couple of days. It has been organised in collaboration with Indian Chamber of Commerce and Women Entrepreneurs Council.

Bollywood actress Dia Mirza attended the event as the chief guest on the 3rd day of the mela, last evening.

The theme of the day’s panel discussion was ‘Reinvention and fusion of textiles and design’. While Nitisha Mann and Gargi Bhattacharya participated in it, Vaishali Nanda managed the stage.

INWEC core member Minu Patnaik with Dia Mirza conducted an interactive session. The actress shared her journey and experiences with the audience and also presented awards to entrepreneurs and traders who support handloom.

The guest of honour for the evening was I.A.S. and P.R. Poonam Guha, Additional Secretary, A&DW, along with Neesha Mann, Deputy Director, MSME-DFO, who visited the stall and shared their views.

INWEC Co-Chairperson Sukirti Patnaaik, Co-Chairperson of INWEC thanked everyone for the overwhelming response and the record number of people attending the event. She also thanked the accomplished guests for taking time and celebrating the handlooms through “The pride of Odisha”.

Tanaya Patnaik, Convenor of INWEC, thanked the designers while Atulya Karigari supported small entrepreneurs for creating innovative products using handlooms.

This is a testimonial of the quality of work happening even at the grass root level. The biggest attraction of the day was the Pride of Odisha fashion show. Successful entrepreneurs, business leaders and achievers of Odisha walked the ramp dressed in handloom garments designed by designer Ramuli.

Atuliya showcased their handloom garments through a fashion show supporting thousands of grassroots entrepreneurs working in handlooms and handlooms.

Designer Tamasa Mohapatra of Label Fashionista, Designer of Label Tulika Mohanty, Selina Dasan of Label AJ Fashion displayed their ready-made clothes.

Similarly, tribal sisters from the state walked on the ramp. The fashion show was organized by Adi Rani Foundation. Another attraction was the dance of Siberan Beriwal. His power packed performance was appreciated by the guests and the audience.
