Father-son duo held for ATM card snatchings in Odisha

Bhadrak, Feb 2:

Bhadrak police today arrested a father-son from Mahanga area in Cuttack district of Odisha for their alleged involvement in snatching of ATM cards and seized 32 ATM cards along with Rs 35,000 in cash.

According to police, a miscreant, later identified as Srikant Mallik of Nischintakoili area in Cuttack district, had snatched an ATM card from a woman identified as Anima Behera, at Tihidi Bazar in Bhadrak district on January 24.

He also withdrew Rs 24,000 from her bank account using the card.

Based on a complained filed by Anima, police started probe into the case.

Upon investigation, police found involvement of Srikant and his father Satrughna Mallik in snatching of ATM cards.

The duo was arrested today for their complicity in the crime.
