Father-son duo killed in road mishap in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A person and his son died after the motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by an unknown vehicle on NH-55 near Kutasingha in Odisha’s Sambalpur district today.

The deceased have been identified as Bisi Mirdha and his son Bapi Mirdha of Landeibahala village in Rairakhol area. Another son of Bisi sustained critical injuries in the road mishap and has been hospitalised.

The three were returning home on the two-wheeler from Bhangamunda village in Kishorenagar area in the evening, during which an unknown vehicle collided against the bike leaving the trio grievously injured.

Police, Fire personnel and locals rescued the victims and admitted them to the Rairakhol hospital, where Bisi Mirdha and his son Bapi were declared dead.
