Cuttack: The body of a female elephant was found near Taila village under Athagarh forest division here in the district this morning.

The jumbo is presumed to be aged about 7 years old.

The body of the animal was found lying in a pool of blood.

However, the cause behind its death is yet to be ascertained.

After receiving information, the forest officials reached the spot for investigation.
