Fetuses found near SCB Hospital in Odisha

While the Odisha government has framed rules to initiate stern action against those involved in the gender diagnosis and feticide, these rules have been openly flouted instances of which have come to the limelight in the millennium city here.

According to reports, over 15 fetuses were found lying scattered along the road side of the Barrage Colony in between the SCB Medical College and Hospital and Bose Engineering School here in the morning hours on Friday.

While some fetuses were found inside the glass boxes, others were lying scattered near the road.

However, these fetuses were removed from the area after some time.

Residents of the localities have alleged that this could be the handiwork of some private nursing homes in the city who have been indulging in such illegal acts.

Surprisingly, there has been no investigation into the matter till reports last came in.
