Jajpur: Taking strong note of the dereliction of duty on the part of some employees in Jajpur district during the COVID-19 outbreak, District Collector Ranjan Kumar Das today recommended action against the Danagadi block Assistant Block Development Officer (ABDO) and issues show cause notice to three other officials.

When the Collector was on a visit to Danagadi block to review the situation, the ABDO was absent in his office. Following this, the Collector recommended the State government to suspend the ABDO.

When the Collector visited the Bari Community Health Centre, the local medical officer was found to be absent. The Collector then issued show cause notice to the CHC medical officer citing as to why action should not be taken against him.

The Collector also served show cause to Dharmasala and Jajpur CDPOs for their absence of other district level officers to take stock of the situation.

Two employees of Jajpur Controlled Market Committee were also suspended for dereliction of duty.

The Chief District Medical Officer, Jajpur today served show cause to five doctors for their absence during the visit of the Deputy Collector, who has been assigned the duty for supervision and monitoring health administration relating to COVID-19 fight. The five doctors were asked to submit their reply in three days.
