Final Semester exam of Utkal University’s Plus III students from July 7

Bhubaneswar: The Utkal University today announced the dates for final semester exam of its Plus III students, both regular and back. Official sources said the Sixth Semester (Regular & Back) University Examination 2020 for the students those who have been enrolled in Plus III Degree (CBCS) in Arts/Science/Commerce (Pass & Hons.) in 2017 (regular) and 2016 (back) will commence from July 7, 2020.

All practical examinations will be held from July 7 to 13 whereas examination of Theory papers will be conducted from July 14-23. Project papers (DSE-IV) and marks to the university must be submitted by July 28 positively.

The University also asked all concerned to ensure strict adherence to the following instructions in light of the recent advisories/guidelines circulated by the Central Government/State Government on account of COVID-19 pandemic.

(a) Preventive measures like use of handwash/sanitizer, compulsory use of face mask, maintaining social distancing, regular disinfection etc are to be undertaken scrupulously while conducting the Examinations.

(b) There should not be over-crowding of students and staff members during practical examinations. Taking the social distancing into account, the batch size may be determined by the concerned colleges.

(c) Students must be informed well in advance about the examination schedule and they may be instructed to come with face mask and their own water bottle and hand sanitizer.

The affiliated colleges are also directed to keep requisite number of Thermal Scanner(s) as per need, out of the college’s Development Fund for scanning of body temperature of the examinees and invigilators before entering into the examination centre.

All classrooms/laboratories must be disinfected before the commencement of examination, the University said.

In another development, Rama Devi Women’s College authorities today postponed exams of sixth semester till second week of July following a demand from its students.

The sixth semester exam was earlier scheduled to start from June 25.
