Jatani: An employee of a finance company was allegedly looted of around Rs 8 lakh by miscreants at gunpoint here in Odisha's Khordha district today.

The incident occurred in broad daylight at Municipality Chhak in Jatani.

As per preliminary information, three miscreants on a motorcycle looted the cash from the finance company at gunpoint while he was returning to office after collecting cash in Jatani and areas adjacent to it.

"Three youth on a black pulsar intercepted me and put a gun on my head. They snatched my bag containing around Rs 8 lakh cash and beat me up. I can identify one of them who slapped me," said the victim Manoranjan Patnaik.
