FIR at doorstep in Odisha Capital; here’re contact details of cops

Bhubaneswar: A day before the 14-day lockdown in Odisha to prevent spread of second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, the Bhubaneswar Urban Police District today requested people not to visit police stations to lodge complaints.

Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash stated anyone who wants to lodge a complaint can dial 100 and police officers will reach the concerned person’s door step to collect the complaint.

He further stated anyone can also call the landline of the area police station or CUG number of the local Inspector In-Charge (IIC) to file a complaint without visiting the police station.

After filing a complaint with the police officers visiting doorstep, the complainant can get a copy of the FIR electronically either on WhatsApp or email, the Bhubaneswar DCP added.

The 14-day lockdown comes into effect in the State from 5 AM on May 5, 2021.
