Fire breaks out at godown in Odisha’s Dhenkanal, properties worth Rs 1 cr gutted

Bhuban: Properties worth Rs one crore were reportedly gutted after fire broke out in a garment godown in Bhuban area of Dhenkanal district this evening.

As per reports, fire spread at Shree Krishna Dress Shop located close to National Highway-53 in Bhuban. After receiving information from the shop owner Kailash Chandra Rathi, Fire Service personnel reached the spot and launched operations to douse the flames.

Eyewitnesses said the smoke billowed out of the gowdown at around 8:30 pm and in a few seconds it engulfed the building.

Recently, the shop owner had kept a stock of two trucks of woollen clothes at the two-storey godown.
