Fire breaks out at plastic factory in Odisha's Balasore

Balasore: A major fire broke out at a plastic factory in Tirukha village under Simulia block of Odisha's Balasore district late last night.

Properties worth over Rs 30 lakh have been gutted in the blaze, reports said. On being informed, Fire personnel from Basudevpur reached the spot and doused the flames.

No casualities have been reported in the incident. Though the reason behind the outbreak of fire is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that electrical short circuit led to the mishap.

Villagers were panic-stricken after the incident as they emptied their houses and placed household goods on roadside.
