Rourkela: A major fire broke out at the SME branch of State Bank of India (SBI) near Bisra Chhak in Odisha's Rourkela city early this morning.
Though no casualty has been reported in the incident, many important documents, several computers and other articles of the bank have been gutted in the blaze. The amount of damage was yet to be ascertained.
On being informed about the fire mishap, as many as six fire brigade units rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames.
Electrical short-circuit is suspected to be the reason behind the outbreak of fire, an official of the bank said.
