Puri: A major fire erupted near the Nakachana gate of the Sri Gundicha temple in Odisha's Puri at around 5 AM on Saturday.

On being informed about the incident, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

No casualties were reported in the fire mishap.

The cause of the outbreak of fire was yet to be ascertained while further investigation by authorities was underway.

It is being suspected that the garbage dump near the temple was set on fire by some miscreants, which led to the outbreak of fire.
