The first phase cut-off mark percentages for admissions into Plus III courses in colleges across Odisha were published, today.
The BJB College here has emerged as the most sought after college in the state with the highest cut-off mark percentages in all the three streams.
In Arts stream, the cut-off mark percentage for BJB College stands at 77, followed by 70.67 and 70.5 for Nayagarh Autonomous College and Rajendra College in Balangir, respectively.
The BJB College topped the cut-off mark list in Physical Science stream too with 92 per cent, followed by College of Basic Science and Humanities here with 89.6 per cent and Rajdhani College in Bhubaneswar with 84.50 per cent.
The highest cut off mark in Biological Science stream stands at 92.2 per cent for BJB College, followed by 89 per cent for College of Basic Science and Humanities and 82.83 per cent for Government Autonomous College, Rourkela.
In Commerce stream, the cut-off mark for BJB college is 86 per cent, followed by Sailabala Women's College in Cuttack with 82.67 per cent and Rajdhani College with 77.33 per cent.
Notably, the Odisha Higher Education Department had on June 13 issued a notification for the admissions. As per the notification, the admissions of the first selection applicants will be held from July 15 to July 20.
Similarly, second selection list will be published on July 25 and admissions for the same will be done from July 27 to 29. The third selection merit list will be published on August 3 and admissions of third selection applicants will be completed between August 5 and August 6, the notification said.
Classes of Plus-III first year students would begin from August 11. The second phase admission will start after 10 days from the date of Instant & Supplementary results publication, the notification added.
