Five containment zones declared in Bhubaneswar as COVID cases rise

Bhubaneswar: Amid sharp spike in COVID-19 cases in Odisha, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today declared five places in the city as containment zones.

They are Plot No. 1499/A, near Sai Temple, Acharya Vihar; Plot No. 120-B, Satyanagar; Plot No. 60, Bapuji Nagar, Plot No. 1147, Bishnu Nagar, Tankapani Road and Plot No. L3/65, near water tank, Acharya Vihar.

The decision has been taken by the civic body to contain the spread of COVID-19 as several cases were detected at the places.

Outsiders will not be allowed to enter the containment zones while inhabitants within the containment zones will remain indoors.

The BMC will supply essentials and medical requirements for those residing in the containment zones.
