Five more Bengal returnees test COVID-19 positive in Odisha; tally at 154

Bhubaneswar: The total number of COVID-19 cases rose to 154 in Odisha after five more persons including two women tested positive in Jajpur district.

The five cases included 28-year-old male, 56-year-old male, 63-year-old male, 24-year-old female and 60-year-old female, the Health & Family Welfare Department said today.

All the infected persons with travel history to Kolkata are asymptomatic. All have been kept in quarantine to prevent further spread of infection.

With the fresh cases, the tally in Jajpur district increased to 45 with 44 active cases.

Yesterday, three persons from the district were detected positive for COVID-19.
