Five more succumb to COVID-19 in Odisha, toll at 2073

Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 claimed five more lives in Odisha as the toll mounted to 2073, official sources said today.

The deceased have been identified as:

1. A 72 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

2. A 73 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

3. A 37 years old female of Sundargarh district.

4. A 52 years old female of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

5. A 54 years old female of Sundargarh district.

Odisha reported as many as 8914 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours as the tally in the state rose to 471536.

Khurda registered the highest number of fresh infections as 1258 more persons in the district contracted the virus.
