Flesh trade racket busted in Odisha’s Bhadrak; Bengali sex workers among 6 arrested

Bhadrak: In a major crackdown, a team of cops raided a private hospitality facility named Saswat Hotel today and busted a sex racket near the Bypass road under Town police limits in Bhadrak district.

According to official sources, Town police have arrested at least six persons in this connection including the three sex workers from neighbouring West Bengal, two customers and the hotel owner.

Acting on a tip-off that illegal activities were going on in the hotel, the police team led by Town PS IIC raided it leading to the arrests of three men and three women. The sex racket has been operating for the last several months. Police have registered a case and launched a probe, which is underway.

“A detailed investigation is on and more persons may likely be arrested,” Bhadrak City DSP said.

Worth mentioning, police busted a sex racket at Patnagarh in Bolangir district and arrested two persons in connection with the case, yesterday. A woman sex worker from West Bengal was rescued.
