Flight passenger tries to open emergency exit door mid-air

New Delhi: A passenger on board SpiceJet flight travelling to Varanasi from New Delhi reportedly  attempted to open the emergency exit door mid-air in an ‘aggressive’ state today.

However, the flight crew with the help of few passengers brought him under control. The crew later informed the Captain, who requested the Air traffic control  for a priority landing.

After the aircraft landed at Varanasi safely, the passenger was handed over to police by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), said sources.

Hindustan Times quoted the Station House Officer in Phulpur as saying the man who created the commotion seemed to be mentally-ill.
