Bhubaneswar: Expressing deep grief over an under construction flyover collapse, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for the kin of victim who died in the tragic incident.
The government will provide free medical treatment to all the injured persons who are admitted to the Capital Hospital and AIIMS in Bhubaneswar.

Taking quick action against the officials for lapses for which the incident occurred, the government suspended two engineers.
"Two engineers deputy executive engineer Bansidhar Praharaj and assistant engineer Kishore Rout were suspended in connection with under construction flyover collapse in Bomikhal. We have ordered a high level probe into the incident," said PWD secretary Nalinikant Pradhan.
"Our priority is to rescue the people trapped in the debris," he added.
Notably, one was killed and over 20 were injured after an under construction flyover in Bomikhal collapsed in afternoon here today. Several people and construction workers are suspected to have been trapped under the debris.
The deceased was identified as Satya Patnaik of Jharapada area. The flyover collapsed while he was going on that route with his daughter on a scooty. He died on the spot. His daughter identified as Sheetal was rushed to the Capital Hospital from where she was shifted to Bhubaneswar AIIMS under critical condition.
The construction workers, who were injured in the incident, have been shifted to the Capital Hospital.
Four sniffer dogs, two NDRF teams comprising of 44 jawans, ODRAF team and fire brigade officials have been deployed to carry out rescue operation at the site.
