Flyover tragedy in Odisha capital: Injured minor girl out of danger

Bhubaneswar: Sheetal Patnaik, the minor girl who had sustained injuries in the tragic Bomikhal under-construction flyover collapse incident in Odisha capital yesterday and admitted to AIIMS here, is now out of danger, hospital sources said today.

She is likely to be discharged from the hospital today, sources added.

On the other hand, last rites of Satyabrata Patnaik, Sheetal’s father who died in the mishap yesterday, was performed at Sati Chaura in Cuttack today.

Notably, Sheetal was returning home from dance class with his father on a scooter yesterday when the tragedy struck.

While Satyabrata died on the spot, Sheetal sustained injuries and was initially admitted to Capital Hospital here and later shifted to AIIMS for better treatment.
